Francisco, CA and Dallas, TX) Top animators Lee Lanier and Jeffrey Dates have
announced a collaborative animated short film entitled “DAY OFF The Dead” and
have launched an official web site to detail its creation (http://www.DayOffTheDead.com). “DAY OFF The Dead” will feature stunning
computer graphics in the guise of endearing Day of the Dead folk characters,
and will follow the humorous day-to-day adventures of these souls as they
struggle to get through the Afterlife.
About Lee Lanier
Lee Lanier is the
award-winning animator and director behind "Mirror" and
"Millennium Bug." Lee’s films have played dozens of festivals
worldwide, including the Sundance Film Festival and the Annecy Animation
Festival. His work has been featured at such prestigious venues as the
Smithsonian Institution and Boston Museum of Fine Arts, in addition to such
magazines as “Computer Graphics World,” “RES,” and “Millimeter.” Lee served as
Senior Animator at Pacific Data Images on “Antz” and “Shrek” before striking
